      Telephone Socket Problem

      Hi,

I've received a letter today saying my telephone line isn't connected to my sky + box upstairs in my bedroom. On further inspection I found 2 of the wires have come out of the connection that the sky engineer fitted for me. There are 4 wires that connect to a socket which then plugs into the bacl of the sky box, 1 x blue, 1 x blue and white, 1 x orange and 1 x orange and white. Has anybody seen a connection like this before and does anybody know how these should be connected and in what order? I've tried putting them in but in doing so I managed to pull the blue ones out as well!!!!! I phoned sky and they said the box is out of warranty and so want to charge me for coming out.

      Any Help much appreciated.

You would be better off buying a new one, they will not be expensive.

      Re: Telephone Socket Problem

Its different to that, its a cable that goes from my socket downstairs then outside up the wall into my bedroom and then at the end of the cable it has the connection mentioned above.
