No Satalite Signal
looking for help with my sky + box , this morning sky wasnt working , comming up no satalite signal received then the number 45 at the corner of the box , was wondering if this meant something , like a code error ? or some help would be great

It is an error code, I am not sure exactly what it means, but I think it is something like the dish or LNB not being detected. Could be LND or cable failure. Maybe Ken will post later with a better explanation.

Error codes 45/48 are usually associated with LNB problems. Maybe a F-connector loose. Maybe the LNB's just misbehaving because of freezing temps, it's failing, or there is a temporary transmission problem. Switch off the box at the mains, disconnect then reconnect the two Dish Inputs, then switch on again at the mains, and reboot after 3 minutes.
If that doesn't fix things, try resetting it in Services, 0, 0, 1, Select. In Setup, press red to reset. If that doesn't work, switch off LNB Power Supply and 22KHz Command, press green to save the settings, exit the menu, then re-enable both, remembering to save the settings.
If still no joy, you'll need to get someone out to look at your setup.
