Sky+HD with only one wire
Hi
I install Sky tv for U.S Airforce in Germany. My question is when I hook up a Sky+ HD box with only one cable it only works for a short time. The reason , I can only hook up the sky box with one cable is because the german landlord won't allow a second cable to be installed. Is there anyway i can make it work with one cable. If so let me know please
Thanks Sal

Re: Sky+HD with only one wire
Switch off the box at the mains, then connect the cable to Dish Input 1 at the back of the box. Reboot, then make sure that Single Feed Mode is selected in the menu. On the Sky remote, press Services, 0, 0, 1, Select. ( there is no onscreen response at the second '0' & '1' - just press the sequence ). Then, select Setup, highlight Single Feed Mode, toggle to 'ON' and press green to save the settings. I think the box reboots at this stage.
You must make sure that the owner understands that Sky Anytime is disabled by default in Single Feed Mode, and that it MUST remain disabled, otherwise there will be no end of 'No Satellite Signal' messages.
I think the Default Transponder is OK as it is for Germany, 11.778 etc, so just leave it.Panasonic TX-P50G10B, Onkyo HTS 3305, Sky+HD Thomson 4E3007 (with upgraded PSU & WD5000AVDS HDD),
