Cant control new Toshiba TV with sky remote

hi

i got new toshiba LCD today and have spent past half an hour trying to set it up to control using my sky remote.

i know the procedure. when i press select and red buttons togather- rather than red light blinking twice, red light stays on constantly. it even stays on after i release these buttons. if i press TV button then light blinks twice. i then enter code (0156 for Toshiba) but it doesnt work.

i used to control my previous philips TV using same remote.

what can i do?

No reason why it shouldn't work, assuming you are using a Sky Rev 8 remote. If it's much older , the 0156 code may not be stored in the remote, and you'll have to get a new one. If the Toshiba is the latest, even the Rev 8 remote may not have the correct code. What is the model number of the tv?

Toshiba TV is 37RV753.

Press TV first, then Red and select, TV again, then 0156, then try power off. If TV stays on, press TV then power off again and repeat until TV turns off then press select.

xyz123. I have just bought a new toshiba tv. Different model to yours though. Had to press TV then power off a lot of times after inputting the code before the tv went off but it did eventually work for me.
