Moving Sky Box
I dont know if this is the right place for this or not, but here goes..
Im moving my sky box and the cable thats with it will not be long enough. SO.. would i be better with a new cable and how does this connect to the dish? Or just joining a new bit of cable to the old one (im worried about signal loss)?
Also what is the type of cable and does anyone know where i can get some?
Or any other hints, tips or things i should be aware of would be appreciated.

Re: Moving Sky Box
What you need is an extension cable with an 'F connector' at each end, plus an 'F type barrel connector' which looks like this....
the barrel has a socket at each end, and you screw a plug into each, which forms a screened joint.
You can make your own extension cables if you wish, or stores like Maplins have them made up in fixed lengths. You may also find the cable and couplers in the larger DIY stores. If you want to make your own extension cables, it's very easy - see this on the Satcure site. Satcure will also sell you extension cables, if you don't want to make your own. For a Sky+ box, you will need two cable extensions.
