How to control sky box under a bed?
I have sky in my bedroom and as it's quite a small room I was wondering if it was possible to have the box under my bed and a small receiver device that would allow me to control the sky box on my shelf instead?
I tried to research this but all I get is Magic Eye stuff which doesn't sound right because this is the only TV/room with sky etc.
Was wondering if anyone knew how I could set this up or if it's even possible?
Thanks
Jack

Re: How to control sky box under a bed?
Get a wireless video sender or digidom. From about £40.

Magic eye is the easiest way, just run a coax from RF2 to where you want it and connect a magic eye to it, power it up and that's it done.

Awesome... that sounds cheap
What do I do with the HDMi cable it's connected with already?
Will it make a difference if/connected not connected
I read in another topic that a scart + coax will give a better picture and enable stereo sound?
>>> I have sky+ HD but don't pay for HD channels

Re: How to control sky box under a bed?
I seem to recall the SLX ones dont like the Amstrad boxes as they use IRDA instead of normal IR.
Have you tried putting the box under the bed and just trying the remote? I've found in the past that you can point the sky remote anywhere in the room and it still picks it up fine1

Re: How to control sky box under a bed?
A strategically placed mirror will do the job. Just aim it at the box, point the remote at the mirror and it works.
