Replaced Box not getting any of the 4 network (film4, ch4, e4 and more4)

Hi, I've just replaced my ancient panasonic sky digital box (15 years old) with a slightly newer but still pretty old Amstrad drx550.

I put in my viewing card and I get all my paid channels and everything works fine except that I don't get anything from the 4 network e.g. Channel 4, Film 4, E4 and More 4 as well as their +1 channels.

It just says "No satellite signal being received" in a FYI box with the number 36 at the end.

I have forced a software update and also gone into the install menu (services -> system setup -> 0 -> 1 -> select and done a new install and even checked all of the radio settings against my old box.

I called sky a minute ago and got a woman with a very broad Scottish accent that I could barely understand tell me there is a known issue at the moment and to try again after 3.

It has been this way since I installed it yesterday.

The C4 family of channels are broadcasting normally. As these channels are all on two transponders using low frequencies from Astra (10.714Mhz & 10.729Mhz ) you may have a LNB problem, or your digibox has some kind of tuner fault, not unknown in older Amstrads. It could be either/or. Possibly the box, as your problem only started when you installed it.
