Aspect Ratio for SSN

Hi everybody

Just signed up today as new member of sky user.

I hope someone can help me with regards to the aspect ratio for sky sports news. At the moment my LG32 Flatscreen TV is set to 16.9 aspect ratio but the right side information panel goes off screen with only half of it viewable.

I thought 16.9 was correct ratio for this channel.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem.

What aspect ratio is the STB set up for and are you using the correct scart on the STB. The VCR scart output does not do widescreen switching.

The A R on STB was set to 4.3 now changed to 16.9 and it has done the job.

Ah so simple didn't think to check AR on STB !!

Morning,

I've a similar issue since SPN went widescreen, however I've checked that both the TV and Sky+ box are set to 16:9. Also checked the SCART is secure. Photo attached.

Any ideas on what else to check for?

What happens on other widescreen channels?

See attached Sky News - that I believe is widescreen (as are most channel these days) and they all look fine.

Theres no difference in the signalling for the two channels. What make of STB is it?
