Channels freezing, won't rewind, etc

Hey all.

Seem to be having a problem with some channels. All the normal channels are working ok- bbc, itv, channel4, e4- pretty much everything you can get on a freeview box are fine. But Sky Sports News, Comedy Central and everything else just seem to be freezing for about 20 seconds then playing for 20 seconds over and over again.
Also when i try and rewind these channels it just seems to jam up and not want to carry on playing.

What are your levels like on the signal test?

Erm..

Input 1 signal strength- 3/4 full
input 1 signal quality- just under 3/4 full

input 2 ss- 3/4 full
input 2 sq- just under 1/2 full

Sounds like a dodgy box. What make is it?

It's a Amstrad DRX280. It's working perfect on normal channels though. Which is good because I've not really needed any other channels with the football on. And when thats not on the woman has got Big Brother on.

Your problem could be anything - failed caps, tuner, or hard drive. If the problems are with playback, probably the hard drive. Try a Planner Rebuild. If that doesn't fix it, do a Full System Reset ( but you'll lose your recordings ). Both available in the Installers Setup - on the remote, press Services, 4, 0, 1, Select. If with live viewing, maybe the dish alignment, tuner, cable or a faulty LNB. God knows, it could be anything. Get Sky out if all else fails..
