      The problem with that is that SCC are not liable to the customer in any way if the customer went to Sky direct and Sky sub-contracted it to SCC.

      If SCC/LD/Spectrum do help out, then it is a gesture of good will. Worth a try, but legally the contract for the install was with Sky who then sub-contracted it. So the customers contract and any legal re-course is with Sky and Sky alone. It is up to Sky to then seek re-compense from SCC for their expense.

      I only had sky for 4 weeks and am writing a legal letter to them. I never thought it could happen to me. It's a real shame sky and Spec are acting the way they do. am not surprised after Sky customer service told me" I don't care if you sue Sky or Not, My job is to pick the phone can't help you"

      Ok lets see.

      1) With the Sky box plugged in do you get a dial tone?
      2) Plug the cable into the BT socket but unplug it at the box end, do you get a dial tone?
      3) Unplug the line going to the box totally, do you get a dial tone?

      Update on the Sky and Love Digital,

      its has been 30 days of waiting and phone calls to sky CC. the outcome is that sky are unable to contact love Digital AKA SPECTRUM so i was asked to wait. I was told the contact was done with SPECTRUM so sky will not come out and put things right. sky CC told me they will not refund the lose of viewing until I resolve the matter with SPECTRUM.

      So here's what am going to do.

      1. Write a letter to Sky asking them to but things write or court action.
      2. write a letter to SPECTRUM asking them to provide me with all the information they hold on me, including telephone call recordings.

      sky washed there hands of it and SPECTRUM say they done the job.
      great outcome.

      any other advices would be appreciated.
