Remote Diagnosis
Good morning everyone, I am fielding a question on behalf of my father-in-law again.
Another naive question, but is it possible for Sky to do a remote diagnosis on a Sky digibox?
This is difficult to pin down, but he may have ann intermittent problem with his SKy box.
Only thing is whenever I go up there everything seems fine, but he reckons than sometimes he gets a 'waiting for signal' message appearing.
I was wondering, then, if this is something Sky could detect?
Regards
John

Re: Remote Diagnosis
If he's on a communal system, he'll get this message from time to time. My mother in sheltered housing ( 45 flats ) gets this message sometimes, but it's only for a few seconds, then the channel appears. She's well used to it now. Not a big problem. Sky can do a remote Health Check, but I'm not sure how much more info this provides them with, other than what's already available to users in the Service Menu.

My father-in-law, contacted Sky this morning and they they reckoned everything was OK with his setup.
He seems happy for now anyway.
Many thanks for your help and advice
