Hi

We are thinking about signing up to Sky MultiRoom and having an extra box in the kitchen

A few questions

Does MultiRoom take the signal from the existing dish without modifications? If so, if two programmes are being recorded on the main set would we not be able to watch a third channel in the kitchen?

Does the second box need to be plugged into the telephone? This would required a cable to be run across the house to the lounge. I know the Sky engineer sets this up but with all the existing tech the last thing we want is yet another cable. (Why can't stuff like box office movies be purchased on the web to avoid the need for a phone connection to the Sky boxes?)

A new cable is run from the dish to your new box.
Both boxes have to be connected to a working phone line.
The boxes will work independently of each other.
