      Sky Signal Issues

      Hi Everyone,

Sky has been working reasonably well for the last 2 years, and all of a sudden i have no signal, error 29, rang sky and they did all the LNB resets, system resets etc to no avail.

I had some spare satellite coax cable so i ran a cable from one of the spare feeds on the LNB to the sky box and it still didnt work, i also had my old single tuner sky box from before i upgraded and connected this to old and new feeds and it still doesn't not work.

This leads me to believe either my dish is out of alignment or the LNB has died,

Can you think of anything else i can test before i grudgingly pay sky 65 to fix

      Thanks

      Matt

      Re: Sky Signal Issues

If the dish is out of alignment by only a small amount you can try gently pushing/pulling the LNB arm left/right and up/down. If the signal reappears then the dish is a little out of alignment. Of course you will need someone watching the TV to see what happens.

Or you could buy a new Quad LNB for 7. SKY MK4 QUAD LNB For Sky +/HD Freesat + LEGACY Adaptor on eBay (end time 25-May-10 15:05:17 BST)
