Re: No satellite signal-25
Lots of postings about this error. Typically they say things like:
"In my experience "Error code 25" is usually relating to the signal from the dish being corrupted before reaching the box, some channels are usually ok but the weaker ones just kick up the error 25 message. Most of the times I have encountered this it has been the F Connector that connects the co-axial cable to the box not being correctly fitted, like wise it could always be at the LNB also but is more likely near the digibox as they are more likely to be moved etc."
"Your fault can be caused by many things including (but not limited to)
Failing power supply in digibox (fairly common with Grundig and Thomson boxes)
Dish misalignment (there are five different sateelites you are trying to receive closely situated but not in the same spot
Fauty cabling - water ingress, pinched cable
Failing lnb.
Outside interference - not likely with missing channels quoted.
The best self test to start with would be to try a known working digibox on your dish and cabling AND test your box on a known working dish. That will at least pinpoint whether fault is in the digibox OR lnb/dish/cabling. But first turn off at mains for 10 mins or so ( a power reset) which can cure many glitches."
