Sky+ box discontinued..not told by Sky

      Hi All

This is my first time on the forum so I hope you can advise or help me.

I re-joined Sky and ordered a Sky+HD box,A subidised Sky+ box and a extra Sky+ box for 49 (we chose the Multiroom package),we paid this ammount to the customer services advisor and booked installation for the 3rd April (AM).

Anyway after waiting all morning for the engineer to arrive,he turned up at 3:30pm only to tell us that Sky+ boxes are now discontinued and that he only had two standard Sky boxes as well as the HD box,the installation did not go ahead as the engineer seid he could not do this.

When we originaly contacted Sky to place the order for the extra boxes we was not told that the Sky+ boxes have been discontinued and we was charged 49 for an extra box by the advisor

We have since contacted Sky Customer Services and they say that they will listen to the call and contact us again on Tuesday evening, they even tried to charge us 200 for a Sky HD Box instead of a Sky+ Box thats after us paying them 49.

What I would like to know, where do we stand regarding this matter?,I feel that we was mis - sold the Sky+ box as they are no more, and as a returning customer to Sky I feel that we have been poorly treated by them.

Now what I dont understand that they are still adverising Sky+ boxes (which look similar to thier HD boxes) even though we have been told that they are discontinued - sorry I'm confused by this.

Any help or advice on this matter will be appreciated.

buy the hd box..if you want a fantastic picture on a hd tv it's well worth the outlay imho..
having a box with just a scart connection is not going to give you a decent quality..or for just a bedroom ect buy a box yourself

get one off e-bay..i paid 109 quid for a brand new samsung hd box...just get sky to install all the cabling
