      Playback of recordings

      Hi everyone,
      I have a Samsung HD box that gives me a problem sometimes - occasionally when playing back a recording, the screen goes blank for about 10 seconds, then the picture comes back on. This could happen several times during the recording. It does not happen on all recordings, neither is it a consistent channel that the problem happens.

      Does anyone know what may be causing this please?

      Sounds as though this could be an intermittent HDMI or HDCP handshake issue between the box and your tv. Is the box connected directly to HDMI on the tv? Try another HDMI Input on the tv, or re-seat the cable at both ends. Does this also happen with any other HDMI source using the same input port on the tv? Has your Samsung recently been updated with the new EPG software Sky+9.10.13a?

      Thanks for the advice - I have reseated the HDMI cable and I will see if that does it. If not, i suppose I need to speak to the "HelpDesk" in India!
