      Sky+ problem (2nd input)

I have recently moved home, to a house that already has a sky dish and two input cables so didn't bother with the costly home move.

Upon setting my equipment up, all seemed to be ok until I discovered I can't record a channel I'm not watching or if the box is in standby. Through basic elimination technique I've found it's probably due to the second input cable in that I can't split my signal? I'm hoping I've got that right! It would seem the previous occupant didn't have +, just a standard set up.

Anyone know how I can go about fixing this, is it a case of rewiring from the dish () or is there a simpler method??

Any help appreciated and I'm sorry if I've posted in the wrong section of the forums

You need to replace the current LNB with a quad LNB and run in another cable from it.

You can get a kit from e-bay with all the required bits for 10-20.

Cheers pal. I take it this means running the new cable from the dish, sounds like it should be fun working that one myself

as in something like this... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SKY-PLUS-BOX-U...#ht_906wt_1199

Yes, that kit should do the job.
