Do I have to have multiroom option ?

      Any advice appreciated.

I already have a Sky+ box from several years ago which I use for 'free to air' channels.

I am going to have a Sky HD box fitted in another room and want to know if the Sky+ box will still work as I have NOT opted for the multiroom option.

It will still work, but only as a freeveiw box with no Sky+ functions. To get your Sky programs and the full Plus functions, you would have to take multi room.

I'm thinking of doing the same. Will I need a view card, as I only want BBC1, BBC2, ITV1. No worried about the rest.

He means "FreesatFromSky box" - obviously not "Freeview" (digital terrestrial).

      You don't need a card for BBC/ITV.
