Upscaling Standard Defintion Sky + (not HD)
I'm sure you will have answered this question before, but I couldn't find it on your forum, so apologies for asking you to go over old stuff.
I have a Sky+ box (not HD), and I have just bought a AV Receiver (Denon 1910) capable of upscaling standard definition TV. Since my Sky+ box doesn't have a HDMI output, what is the best way of connecting the output from Sky+ box to the AV receiver?
Thanks very much for your help

Re: Upscaling Standard Defintion Sky + (not HD)
A Scart to Component converter is probably your best option. With Svideo runner up.
scart converter - In Stock at www.tvcables.co.uk UK & Worldwide Shipping

Perfect - thanks
How about on the audio side? Or will the scart take care of that as well?

I think your best there would be an optical connection, it would give a better result than using the stereo connectors. You will not get sound from this type of scart adapter.

Re: Upscaling Standard Defintion Sky + (not HD)
To be honest, you should get yourself an HD box to get the full benefit of the Denon. Seems a waste to spend about £400 to use on a Sky+ box.

Re: Upscaling Standard Defintion Sky + (not HD)
You're right it does seem a waste - but I can only afford one thing at a time. The AV receiver cost £400 plus £600 for the speakers.
Maybe in 6 months I can spring for the Sky HD box. Sky HD is the only thing missing from my set-up now.
Thanks again for the help!!
