      Phone not connected????????

      Ello all,
      A couple of years ago we redecorated and I never bothered to put the phone line back. On Tuesday we are having HD installed so I need to put the phone line back. I connected it all up and the Sky box (Sony) said that it wasn't connected. I plugged a phone into the line and it works fine. I know that the Sky box was showing as connected just before we took the line out. What could've happenned to the box while it has just been sitting there?????

      It's not major as I guess the HD box will work but I thought I might sell on the Sony Sky box.

      Any ideas?

      who's your phone with coz i think you need to put a dailing prefix in go to settings then push 0 0 1 on your remote then move to telephone then down to dailing prefix an enter a code

      1407 for bt
      1208 for some others

      1280 for others

      Have you checked the socket with a phone for dial tone?
