Spare SKY + box....
Hi guys/gals
Quick question. My mother in law has a spare SKY + box and I was wondering if I could upgrade my mums sky box with the spare.
My mum has a subscription to Sky, so I'm guessing she wouldnt have to pay the £10 extra a month. I could probably upgrade the dish myself by just adding the 4 port dongly thing and an extra cable.
Is any of this do able? Or will I have to pay the extortionate price for sky to sort it?

You will be able to do this yourself as you describe. Once completed you would need to take the card out of the older box, put it in the newer box, then ring Sky to pair the 2 together.
