Sky plus and own install of separate box in bedrooms
Hi
I already have sky + in the living room and was interested in putting a freesat / sky or other satelite box in my bedroom with also a connection to my PC via a satelite card in the pc. My question is do I use a single coaxial cable and splitter or would I need to use the twin " shotgun" cable with one side in one room and the othe side in the other room.
Thanks in advance
Chris

If you mean that you want to put a satellite card into your PC, then you will need to cable directly from the dish LNB.
If you mean that you will use a TV card and pick up a signal from the existing satellite box, then a splitter and co-axial cable will do the trick.

Thanks for the replies
Let me explain more clearly. In the living room I have sky plus. what I would like to to is use the same dish and run a cable or two cables to feed a pc satellite cardin one bedroom and a freesat box in the other bedroom( future ) Is it best to run two cables ( a cable to each room) or can I use the twin coax and put one feed in the pc and the other piece in the bedrroom.
thanks in advance
Chris
