Speech sound out of time

I have had a new box installed and the speech sound is out of sync with the person talking on screen.

Can anyone help please?

It is a software issue and well known. try turning off the box and then unplug from the mains for 3 mins, then plug back in, wait 3 mins for hard drive to load and switch the box back on. It may help.

Mmm OK, the TV should normally delay the audio by the same amount of time it takes to process the video. None crt screens usually take a little longer. It may be that the audio delay setting will work, but in this case I don't think it will. Have you tried the suggestion above about powering the box off and back on?

Sorry but I don't know what all this means!

I did take the power off as suggested. It was OK for a while and then started again.
