New member reset question
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the form and fairly new to Sky after moving in with my partner a couple of months ago.
Any way, I've been given a Sky + box, an Amstrad, and have talked my better half into letting me have Sky Sports 1and 2 for the footie.I've got Sky to configure our existing Sky card to match the + box , thanks to advice on here
, which works as I can now get the additional channels on the + box.
The problem I've got is that the hard drive has only 2% capacity remaining due to there being countless recordings of BB and BBLB filling up the drive. I think the previous owner must have had the box set to record the series.
My question is is their a way of resetting or formating the hard drive or + box so that all these episodes and the series recording are deleted? Unfortunately I don't have the ownwer's manual.
Many thanks.

Re: New member reset question
press serivce button on remote
press 4 then 0 then 1 then select
you be taken to a install menu
go to the last option full system reset
wait for the box to reboot you know when the front light flashes
wait 3 mins after this
all done you can now use the full hard drive space
to get the lastest software for the box
turn off power to the box
hold down backup button on front off box
turn power on keep it pressed
all 4 lights come on let go off backup
and now wait untill box reboots
if you have a plasma or lcd turn tv off
due to the update on screen gives the tv a screen burn
