      Re: Billing problems

Have you added any packages during this period? Because if you have the Sky accounting system is (at best) confusing because the instant you add a new package Sky bill you for the remainder of the current month plus the next month. So I've just added Sky Sport and my new bill reads (for a notional 46.25):

      Instant debit 77.70
      August 46.25
      Sept NIL
      Nov 46.25
      Dec 46.60

If you have the time and mathematical agility then the total sum over a long'ish period is correct but it's extremely difficult for the customer to understand and check.

I know we have a campaign for 'Plain English' to help us with forms. I think Sky could do with a campaign for 'Plain Maths' because it must unsettle large numbers of people.

      Re: Billing problems

It would help if we knew what you were paying for. If you are with TalkTalk, I would assume these bills are for TV only. Have you upgraded your packages or boxes. These seem very high for normal TV packages.

Do you have multi room? If so, it looks like you are being charged full price on both boxes. If not, it looks like you are being charged double for some reason.

You can use this form to complain -

      Re: Billing problems

Are both your boxes permanently connected to the phone line, if not, that is why Sky have taken this action. They usually warn you before taking this action. They do this to stop the boxes being used in addresses other than where they are registered.

Try phoning Customer Relations on 02077053000. This seems to get action when other routes fail. Don't let them put you through to Support or you will end up going round in circles.

      Re: Billing problems

There have been a few reports of the modem packing up in the receivers, this could cause Sky to think you are swinging the lead.

You could do a system test to see if they are connecting correctly.
