Poor quality picture
We have a normal Sky box (made by Grundig - it's fairly old). It is connected to a 32" Panasonic CRT. We also just bought a Philips DVD Recorder with an HDD. All connected up with Sky---->DVDREC----->TV via two scart cables.
The problem is the image quality seems to have deteriorated. It is especially noticeable around in the Sky guide, the edges of the text boxes seems to be very grainy and moving/streaming/distorted - I can't remember what the proper term for this is.
I thought it was to do with the DVD recorder so I removed that and did a direct Scart link but it was still the same. Also, we unplugged other devices around it to rule out interference.
Any ideas what it could be? I do not really use this TV but my Dad says it wasn't like this before we started messing around with it.
Thanks
Jack

Re: Poor quality picture
Check you haven't changed the SCART output to PAL rather than RGB.

Re: Poor quality picture
Checked and it is on RGB. PAL doesn't seem to make a difference though
It does on other telly's I have setup Sky on.

Re: Poor quality picture
Make sure the sky box is plugged into AV1 scart on the TV as AV2 normally won't support RGB and plug the DVD into the VCR socket on the sky box.
