re: Sky tv price increase 1st September 2009
In all fairness a £1 is neither here nor there. Other things would go up as well, Cinema entry, popcorn, sweets for the kids.
Its still cheaper to stay in then go out, especially when you have kids.
As for the BB side of things, nothing concrete yet.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

I am in the same boat as you and those are my thoughts as well. While £1 is neither here or there was the increase in Vat back to 17.5% on the 1 January next year that will add another 50p onto the bill so we are paying more for less (if the reduction on Mid broadband is correct).

re: Sky tv price increase 1st September 2009
So when are we going to be told officially about this increase. I got my letter today with my sky mag and it makes no mention of the TV subs increase. Infact it talks about the VAT going back up from January 2010 and it says first bill in the new year will be 50p more but does not take into account this increase.

well it says about the price increase in my letter with the sky mag, the price is totally wrong as they haven't put the HD subs in but the price increase on the basic package is there.

re: Sky tv price increase 1st September 2009
Odd then as it doesn't say anything on mine. All I have is this:
My December bill will be £46.74 and then £47.00 in January 2010. I am currently paying £46.50.
There is no mention of the increase or have I missed something. My package is Sports Mix + 2 mixes and Sky Broadband Mid @ £10.

re: Sky tv price increase 1st September 2009
I have just opened my Sky Mag and my cost is going up from £46 to £47.50 for Sky World, or in other words £1.50 which is less than 7% unless I have got my sums wrong?
It looks like those people on the lower packages have the higher percentage increase, which just does not make sense.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~
