amstrad box loud fan
I've had my sky + for 10 months, without any issues, most nights it's switched off, this morning I turned ti all back on and in standby initially it's fine, but once I turn the box on it's nearly as loud as my 360, then fan that is. it's starting from cold. once the fan starts, putting it in standy doesnt help. I've unplugged it for 2 minutes to no avail
anyone heard of this before.

I've had a couple of Amstrad PVR3's like this - And it's always been the box in the bedroom...
Make sure none of the vents are ovstructed, and that the fan loofs clear of excessive dust build up - You could, if you are up to it, take off the lid to check..
Other than that, I've had 3 replaced for this - Damn annoyying in the bedroom!
