      Recording sky+ programmes to dvd

      Hi all,

Im Liam and im new to the forum. Im in need of some help please.

I have a Samsung dvd-HR734 dvd recorder. Im trying to set it up so i can record from my sky+ box.

This is how i have it all set up

Scart av1 (tv) - tv scart (sky+ box)

scart av1 (dvd recorder) - vcr scart (sky+ box)

      RF IN (DVD REC) - RF1 (SKY+)

RF OUT (DVD REC) - RF IN (TV)

Now when i turn on the dvd rec i get the torrest channels but no sky. I have gone into manual set up and searched but still nothing comes up.

Prob something simple that im doing wrong as im a noob but if anyone has an idea what it could be i would be very greatfull.

      Cheers,

      Liam

You need to put the DVD recorder in to AV/AUX mode to receive the Sky signal.

With this information if you put your dvd recorder on channel av/aux 1 you should see a picture. Select all recording you wish to record first on the sky planner, then press record on dvd player first before press copy on sky menu. Should be bobs your uncle.

We have detected that your ISP is Demon - Your current download speed is 2856Kbps, and your current upload speed is 369Kbps.

There is no real benefit in the copy button, I prefer to get to the start of the programme I want to copy and just press record on the DVD player then play on the sky + box.
