SKY TV with MAGIC EYE through POWERPASS SPLITTER
Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of doing up my house including moving all my AV kit from my living room to a cupboard at the other end of the house. I currently have the Sky box in the cupboard using HDMI over CAT6 converters to get the picture and sound to the LCD in the living room.
I'm going to purchase a Logitech Harmony 1000 or 1100 when I can afford it (after my wedding in July) but until then I have a Magic Eye connected to a coax cable running back to the Sky box on RF2 output. This works perfectly and I can use the remote in the living room with no problems.
The issue I have hit at the moment is when I install a splitter which I would use to connect another coax cable to the bedroom TV the magic eye doesn't light up. The splitter was purchased from kenable.co.uk
F-Connector Splitter For Virgin Telewest NTL Cable 4 way GOLD [ CXTTE04057 ] - kenable for HDMI Optical TOS Network Ethernet RJ45 Scart Audio Phono Jack USB Firewire 800 ADSL Cable Leads
The splitter states powerpass on all outputs. I was under the impression that this was all I needed to allow the DC current to pass through to the magic eye. I understand that it may just be a faulty splitter but I wanted to check to see if anyone else has had a similar problems or if I'm missing something obvious.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Use a 2 way dist amp from global invacom. It runs from the RF2 power.

On the subject of your remote...
Try the 1000 or 1100 before you buy! They are quitr combersome and awkward to operate one handed - Esp if you are Left Handed like me!!!
I use a Harmony 885 and I love it.... Does everything the 1000 does, apart from the touchscreen, and if you need RF control, which you more than likely will, as your ki will be in another room, then a 895 would do the trick nicely!!

Most splitters won't work. See Split Digibox RF outlet for other TVs

tv eye won't work with hd+. I've checked the RF outlet etc which is exactly the same as on my previous sky+ box. Is there another way I can control the hd box from the bedrrom. Maybe a different splitter?
