No theres plenty of hard disk recording satellite receivers. Humax do a few for example. Check out Wizard Satellite, Satellite receivers, dishes, lnbs and equipment thats where I got my stuff 7 or so years ago.
Theres just no EPG info to allow you to make timed epg recordings like you can with Sky+
