1 May 2009 Bill. Subtotals don't add up correctly.
Below is from the listing I see on my computer screen for this months Sky Services bill:
Bill Dated: 01 May 2009
Amount owing from last month £0.00
Sky Subscriptions £9.96
Sky Broadband £5.00
Sky Talk £14.04
Total Balance: £40.29
Current Balance: £40.29
If I add the subtotals together myself, (£9.96+£5.00+14.04), then the total I arrive at: £29.00, does not match the one given: £40.29. So there is a difference of £11.29.
Calling Sky Call centres three times, two agents could not understand what I was talking about, whilst a third did realise, but could not explain, so I've written to Sky Customer Relations in Livingstone, attaching a screen shot of what I am seeing.
I was just wondering if anyone else was seeing a similar inconsistency in their bill. All my other bills for the periods before this one add up correctly, i.e. subtotals when added equal the total balance.

Very strange.. Your sums are correct, so there is definately a discrepancy!

Just try and get a Sky agent to believe you - it's really hard work.
Apparently I am "confused" over the bill - that really infuriated me!
I suppose convincing 1 out of 3 agents isn't a bad score, but there was no resolution, hence my letter to Customer Relations.

What really pee's me off, is - If they make a mistake and overcharge you, they want to take the full (incorrect) payment on your DD and then credit it back on the next bill!

This is just a long shot, as we we have kept our telephone services with BT, due to the fact that my mother is a BT pensioner and she gets a few perks as such!
But would I be right in guessing that the Sky Talk line rental is £10, if so is that not billed in advance and could it be that they have not printed that, but still charged for it?
As Always.,

The first lot of credits, total £11.29, have not been taken off the bill. That is the problem.

It was for that reason that with many companies that I paid by monthly cash payment (BT, Gas, Elec, Mobiles etc) but they then charge you an administration fee if you do not use DD. I have written to many people about this issue but with no result yet.
It's my money, it should be in my bank and I'll pay you on the day I want not when you say I should
