Re: Satellite Splitter
Symantically and pedantically correct again
Even more pedantically, only the voltage is used to select polarisation, there are only two polarisations used for Sky dishes, horizontal and vertical. The 22kHz tone selects high band (uses the 10.6GHz local oscillator in the LNB), no tone means low band (9.75GHz local oscillator used in the LNB).

Re: Satellite Splitter
Ok guys, give it a rest now
I agree but I was trying to give a basic description to someone who didn't know what an LNB was (well thats my story anyway)
Should have known some smart aces would come along and trip me up.

Re: Satellite Splitter
Hi,
I've got Sky installed in my home and use the communal Satelite wall socket. Problem is that there is only 1 Satellite socket whereas the Sky Box receiver requires two signals. I have checked and there is only 1 cable conmnected to the wall socket.
Does anybody have an idea of how I could perform my installation?
NB: I have access to the LNB communal room but I won't be able to add a new cable going to my flat...
Thank you
