can't get any channel 5 channels

Hi,
Since this morning, we have been unable to get any of the channel 5 channels on our sky box. Everything was fine yesterday, but we now keep getting the message "no satellite signal is being received." This seems to be only affecting the channel 5 channels. Any help will be very appreciated.

I know an amplifier went pop at Arqiva today who uplink these channels. There was also a change made to the data in the stream, your box should have updated but didn't. A reboot will fix it. Is your box an Amstrad by chance?

Our box is a PACE box, but I will try to do a reboot. I will give it a go in a little while and let you know.

You don't know if the last channel you were watching before it went was c5 do you?

No it wouldn't have been. We have a DVD recorder with a rewindable buffer and we first noticed the problem when the Sky box switched over to channel 5 (using the planner function) this morning and the "no signal" message came up immediately. But once again, many thanks for your help as it seems to have cured it.

I'm getting the old "No Signal being received" message on channel 5 as well, I will do a reboot when there is nothing on the box. Why is this suddenly happening then ?

Ahh I see (as in your post above). I still haven't got around to rebooting my box.

I have the same problem, been going on for ages. I phoned sky who did some tests with me which didn't work so they said I would need an engineer, I have just tried a process found on another site and got channel 5 back but am still missing fiver and five us.
