There is absolutely no problem with letting off steam here.
However, letters of complaint should be concise and to the point. Basically just a simple list of events plus a statement of what you want.

I don't think that BskyB will have any problem with surviving - it IS a monopoly after all - but I'm sure there will be job losses. I'm not convinced that BskyB can be blamed for the state of the economy.

I have been through everything the original poster described just trying to get my mothers sky plus set up. you just get sent round and round call centres talking to people who havnt got a clue, Sky's customer service is really terrible. you get sorted in the end but its annoying that you have to go through the whole point of what your call is about everytime you get put through to another department

No need for any hassle. Just write a letter. It'll cost less than a phone call to post.

The thing I dont underdstand is that if I take cable TV and a fault develops with the box, the cable companies will come out and replace it - FREE - at least they did when I had cable a few years ago. With Sky, if the box develops a fault it seems to be down to you after the year's warranty on the box.

I think that may be because you are only renting the box from the Cable company, with Sky you actually own it.
