      Upgrading Sky package online

I removed Sky Sports 2 last year in order to save a bit of money each month and now, due to a change of circumstances, I want to add it back in again. I have tried to do it online but get a message that this service is currently unavailable. It can't be a technical fault because it's been like this as long as I can remember. Everytime I've tried to upgrade or downgrade my package online I've had this error. I've also tried to do this through the interactive services on the box and get the same kind of error. It is obviously a ploy by Sky to force you to ring them so they can try and sell you more channels/services than you actually want so why don't they just remove these options from their website and interactive service instead of wasting peoples time by making them think they'll be able to do it online.

The same thing happens to me every time I try to use the net I believe it's sky's way to get even more money out of people when they've got to phone.

      Re: Upgrading Sky package online

This has happened twice to me with Sky's website.

      1) Was to do with an out of date package - The Disney Channel

      2) A none Sky email address

Either way, Sky sorted it whilst on the phone. Could be one of those reasons, especially if you have had your Sky for a few years and not bothered updating etc

This has been happening with the Sky website for ages, I have always done it via the phone. It could also be so they don't have to pay out to those sites that operate affiliate links to Sky.
