Paying for Sky by Credit Card

Remember that the credit card companies have raised prices in which everytime you make a payment it is costing Sky more. Being stuborn and removing packs isn't going to get your own back is it? Also remember Sky reduced your package by 50p per month with VAT dropping.

No, I think its a simple checks and balances kind of thing. They reduced your subs by 50p because of the VAT thing. They now want to charge you 50p for paying by Credit Card.
You are no worse off so where is the benefit in cancelling your package!

You'e right, 50p is neither here nor there, however, you are worse off if you pay by card, to the tune of 50p per month.

Because if you pay by DD then you don't have to pay the 50p, or the previous 50p that they have dropped because its the law. (well the VAT content)

No it's not an arguement and it's not silly, it's just something to bare in mind and take the other point of view.

I pay by CC. It's a SKYCARD Mastercard. Ironically they still want to charge me the 50p for their own card! Checked with my bank NatWest. No charges are made for either DD or CC. Charges are at the behest of the creditor. So what are Sky going on about in their letter about the costs to the DD v CC customer when neither pay a charge anyway until 7 March when CC's will be charged 0.50p. It's another rip-off con. I rang the Call Centre, India & got nowhere. I'm writing to Mark Anderson, Customer Marketing Director with my views. Please consider doing the same if you pay by CC.

As if that was an argument / justification as to why we should accept paying an extra 50p per month, otherwise why say it? Sky had to drop the VAT content, as that is the law.
