      sending sky upstairs...watching diff. channels???

      hi guys and gals

so....i have sky downstairs in my main room but am thinking of buying another tv in my 'office room' directly above it and routing it there also...

      am i correct in thinking:

IF i use a wireless tv link (if so which one!!) i can only watch wots on downstairs?
very cheap and simple way of doing it though....?

IF i wanted to watch another channel in my package (upstairs), i'd have to subsribe to multi room (10 a month?) AND get another sky box....?....would this involve lots of cables or could it be done using a wireless tv link etc ?...

      many thanks in advance.....si

Same channel on all TV's unless you have multiroom.

Multiroom costs a fiver without any premium channels and a tenner with them plus installation.
You will need a seperate feed from your dish AND a connection to the same phone line as the other Sky box!

Oh yes! And another card. Cards will be paired to boxes and matched to your account!

You can watch seperate terrestial or freeview channels though, you only have to watch the same Sky channel.

ie, if you have Sky Sports on downstairs you can watch Sky Sports upstairs or any terrestial or freeview channel (assuming you have an aerial connected to the Sky receiver and a Freeview TV)

Just be aware that if you are going to use a video sender to get your TV signal upstairs they operate in the same frequency band as the wireless from your router and they may interfere with each other.

Run a cable, nothing else comes close.

There's no such thing as wireless multiroom. Your second Digibox needs at least one cable connected to a spare output on the LNB.
