is the freewiev HD? ...or is it just pot luck which shows are broadcast in HD? (ie arent some bbc progs in hd? ... i know i'd have to upgrade my sky package IF i wanted hd via the sky downstairs, still not linked up to new which hasnt even arrived yet!.....)

the main reason for getting this is my ps3....(with hdmi cable)

      Hi,

Over the Air (arieal) Freeview is not HD.. Yet.. (There will prob be some after the digital switch over but will prob require a new box).

Freesat does contain HD channels but only a few (BBC, ITV and CH4 I believe)

      Hope this helps

Also 20% of the country can't get Freeview, in Stevenage we have no analogue system at all as it was meant to be piped in by communal arial and then NTL turned it off.

So make sure your in an area that has Freeview.
I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

Even if you are in area that can receive the channels there is no guarantee that you will get them all, we can't get ITV 1 for example although that probably isn't a bad thing
