HDMI out on DVD/VCR to HDMI 1 in on TV, TV scart on sky box to AV1 scart on TV, TV scart on VCR/DVD *OR* the scart that has a rectagle with a 2 headed arrow in it, in to VCR scart on sky box. To record from sky, select either AV1 or AV2 depending on which one has the 2 headed arrow on your VCR/DVD.

Re: connecting sky to dvd/vcr to TV

HI, new to forums ,but having just read this I`m afraid that you will be right for connections. However ,and this is the weird thing, 1, play back via HDMI ( and this at the moment is being blamed on the SKY+box ) is 4:3 ? not 16:9, have to manually switch to AV1 (skybox ) to get 16:9 back ??? HDMI1 will not play back 16:9 if you recorded from sky+box ? Again if playing a dvd , the same , so if an answer that helps please let me know to ,as we just purchase`d an HD TV ( TX-37LZD85 100hz ) and a DMR-EX768 hd/dvd player and are not happy bunnys. Putting us off ( besides the 10.00 / month for the priviledge) of buying a SKYHD box .If the problems with a HDMI connection ain`t up to scratch or lipsink ? what to do. Hope you have better luck...........
