      Sky phone numbers!!

Ok so I know that I am not alone with my annoyance at the ripoff telephone numbers that customers have to pay to speak to their suppliers.

I have been looking on SayNoTo0870 and not one of the numbers that I tried actually got me through to Sky. Surely Sky have more to do than to spend vast amounts of time stopping people making a cheaper calls to them.

Is there any truth behind the rumor that they may be going to free phone/geographic numbers in the end?

even though there are old 0870 numbers which are still active, Sky are moving to 0844 numbers instead. There are a whole set o new numbers for each department.

What department are you trying to get through to?

also, there is no truth that Sky are moving to freephone or geographic numbers, not after they paid for the new 0844 numbers. But if you are a Sky talk customer, any package, you get calls to Sky for free

I'm on Sky Talk but wasn't aware that I could call Sky for free. Do you know what freephone number you use to do this?

      Thanks.

I wasn't aware that 08442 numbers were free? I thought they were charged at local rate.

Oh right, sorry. So just to be absolutely clear, as a Sky Talk customer (inc. line rental) if I telephone any Sky department using one of their 08442 *** *** numbers it will appear as free on my Sky Talk bill?
