      Getting a reduction

      In my bill

I have Sky HD full package and multiroom with the phone.

Been a customer of sky for 3 years now. Been cut off once for no payment about 1 year ago but that issue was resolved in under a week.

I am going through a bad patch at the minute and was wondering If sky would offer me a deal if I rang up and asked?

Anyone else think I got a chance?

They won't respond to you asking but will (probably) respond to you leaving or downgrading.

The latter is probably best. Currently, if you call Sky and say you want to drop Movies and Sport, they'll offer you a reduced subscription and let you keep them for 3 or 6 months. That of course is dependent on how long you've been with them, had the full package etc and isn't a guaranteed result.

I'd heard that they were really clamping down on retention offers, i.e. not doing them.
Its worth a call I suppose, worse case is you have to reduce your package to a more manageable cost.

Yes, I don't think they're doing much on outright "saves" but they are trying to stop customers downgrading by giving incentives - or at least they were a few weeks ago. Got to keep that ARPU up.

I was offered 2 extra mixes and full sports mix and multiroom for an extra 6 when I rang up to cancel my bb (which I am still doing anyway) last weekend
      6 mixes
      Sports Mix
      Sky + in 2 rooms - total 34

      Re: Getting a reduction

If you tell them you are having hard times and don't want to downgrade but unfortunately you have no choice, they will often take pity on you and reduce your charges for 3 months. Sky do try to help genuine cases of hardship - just don't expect to take the P and get away with it indefinitely. It all gets recorded on their computer system.

The last offer I had from them was in 2006
