      Sound Problem not mentioned previously...

I have Sky+ with a 2nd TV connected via a dedicated coax cable and a TV link/eye unit.
The Sky box has the RF2 outlet switched "ON" and the RF channel set to 68.
I scanned the 2nd TV and the Sat channel was being received on channel 36 and all the Remote control functions worked OK except there was no sound.

I have subsequently changed the Sky box RF channel to 36 and various other channels, but each time I do this then scan the 2nd TV it still only receives the Sky picture on channel 36 without sound.

      Struggling to understand why -
      - The sound doesn't work
      - When changing the RF channel on the Sky box it doesn't change on the 2nd TV.

      Help much appreciated.

Try manual tuning on the TV to tune to c68, you may have a multi sandard tv and are picking up a sideband. If your TV tunes in Mhz, it's 847.25. Make sure it's set to Pal I, this can also be a cause of no sound.

      Hi Woodster,

Thanks for the reply, the 2nd TV is a Panny LCD TX23LXD60 which receives multi broadcasts as stated but the auto/manual analog scanning is automatically carried out in UHF 21-69.
I have subsequently disconnected the RF2 outlet and connected it directly into the main TV (Panny Plasma) and exactly the same happened, carried out an Analog scan and SKY was picked up on channel 36 but with partial sound as if the channel just required very fine tuning. Again nothing on channel 68 as preselected RF2 Outlet channel on Sky box.

I then seperated all the power cables at the back of the TV to ensure I was not causing any interference... still no joy.

I'm thinking the common fault maybe the brand new Sky box itself.....

      Any thoughts.
