Replacing faulty Sky + box out of warranty

      Hi,

My sky + box which we have had for over 2 years is slowly starting to die, takes ages to boot up and switches itself off

Does anybody know if i will be able to blagg a new sky + box out of sky to replace my old one?

      What are my options?

      Thanks in advance

You can try and blag one, or if they don't they should offer you one (refurbished) for 65 fitted, with a three month warranty.

Alternatively, Sky are selling Sky+ HD for 75 plus 30 install with no Multiroom or free install if you take the Multiroom. But you would have to subscribe to the HD mix at 10 per month.

A HD box would work on a none HD TV.

Don't know if I,m to late to reply but here goes
I have the same problem (box will not power up)
Have been with sky for about 4-5 years and i phoned for a new box and they wanted about 150.
Phoned again to cancel my Sky tv saying that i was cancelling as i could not afford a new box and they offered me a brand new box at no cost what so ever. its arriving on friday Ohh happy days.

Or you could simply get the Digibox repaired and (hopefully) not lose any recordings.
TV, VCR and Digibox (Satellite receiver) repairs, spares, sales - UK service
