View currently playing Sky channel and Freeview.

      Hello,

I received Sky today, which is great, but I have a small problem.

Before we had Sky, we had Freeview in the front room as well as in my office with a eyetv diversity in my laptop.

Now that we have Sky, I watch that in the front room, but I would also like to carry on watching the freeview in my office as well as the current Sky channel that is playing.

I have set it up so the roof aerial goes into the RF IN on the back of the Amstrad Sky box, and then another coax somes out of RF1 or 2 (I have tried both).
I am able to pick up all the freeview channels perfectly, but am unable to get the Sky channel. I have tried changing the RF frequency to various numbers. The name of my regions' mast is Tacolneston.

What do I need to do to get this additional channel?

      Thanks!

From what you've posted, i think you have a freeview tuner in your laptop and you want to view sky from the box in the front room. What you need to do is check if you DTV adaptor can do analogue, since thats what is output from the sky box. If it won't do analogue, you can't watch the sky box on your laptop. If it does, just set it to analogue and tune it in.

Yeah, the tuner is completely digital. That's a shame then. Is there anyway of converting the signal?

      Thanks!
