Re: Technical Fault messages on most channels I try

I get this on my old box upstairs when the box downstairs works fine. Sometimes if I turn it all off & on again it comes back but I think either the box or lnb is dying.

Your dish could have been blown slightly out of alignment usually a good sign of this is to do a signal test and see if your strength/quality has dropped below 50%

Also it can happen during heavy rain.

I will check Aug 28 it was installed so I don't think that the box or lnb is "dying".

Do idea on signal test percentages, just a range of grey boxes. I will call Sky and see what they say.

Well I called Sky, explained my problem, I was told to put the box in stand by mode, turn off the mains and check the connections.

I did, then turn on, wait 30 seconds to 1 min press TV then SKY on the remote.

Then the person hung up on me! but the box is working now

The first thing to try is a reboot.

      Oh, you just did.
