      How can current customers get the same offers as new customers?

      I have been a sky customer for the past 7 years. We want a sky plus box but are reluctant to pay for the installation which is free if you are a new customer.
      I spoke to their sales dept today and they said that they would not waive the installation fee as it was only for new customers. I asked how long i would have to leave sky for to become a new customer and was advised that it was 12 months.
      The original contract was in my maiden name. If I was to cancel and then take out a new subscription in my husband's name does anybody think that we will be entitled to the same offer as new customers?
      I did stress to them how disappointed I was with their response considering the length of time that we have been with them and the amount of money that we have paid during that time.
      Any thoughts would be appreciated.

      Why not try and get the Sky+ HD box for 105 fitted. Great offer, but be advised you would have to pay 10 a month for the HD subscription.

      If you haven't got a HD TV it will still work with a normal scart connection.

      I think that would work as our current Sky is in my wifes maiden name, whereas our previous address it was in mine, i still get offers from Sky to tempt me back, so i guess we're to two different entities to them.

      Just call sky on: 01506 421825, then take options 1,4,5,3,4!

      Explain your a long standing customer and a friend has been offered a SkyHD box with install for 105.00.

      They will come back and offer the same to you.
