Workaround for MULTI-ROOM subscription ??
Got an awful feeling the answer is no but going to ask anyway.
Is there a workaround for receiving multi-room but without having to pay the extra £10 a month.
I have SKY+ downstairs and SKY (plus cards) installed in two bedrooms costing me an extra £20 a month.
I've heard of Sky-Eyes and suchlike but I've come here to the experts to find out is it possible before I start looking into purchasing these type of things

Re: Workaround for MULTI-ROOM subscription ??
Without a Multiroom sub, you would only be able to watch whatever channel is on the downstairs box, (or the other box) using a magic eye, on the box connected to the magic eye. If that makes sense.

You don't actually need another box, but as NR says you will only be able to watch what is on the 'main box' If you change the channel it will change on the 'main box' as well, which might drop you down the popularity stakes.
You would also have to have a remote which matches the 'main box'.

Re: Workaround for MULTI-ROOM subscription ??
As above, all TV's will receive the same Sky channel so if you are watching Sky Sports downstairs than all the other TV's will also be watching it, unless they are watching terrestial either standard or freeview.
The magic eye just gives you the ability to change channels on you Sky box without the need to go to the room uit is in.

What about using freesat upstairs.
/There would be a lose of some channels but still a good selection.
You could always run magic eye up as well and then if someone wanted to watch a sub channel they could fight for it.------

^^^^^^^^^^
You should also be aware that this is illegal and if Sky want to push it, you could end up with a jail sentence. Have a read of this -
