No mini Information box while going through channels

Hi, it's kind of hard to explain this problem, basically whenever i go through the channels on sky usually there is supposed to be a information box saying the time, date, whats on now whats on next etc. However this comes up for 1 second then goes away straight away. Then even if i press 'select' or the arrow keys it still doesn't come back up again. It's kind of hard to explain it so i got my son to record the problem:

I also called up sky and they said they can't help me, cause i no longer have a subscription with them.
I have the normal sky digibox, it's amstrad and this is what it looks like:

Sounds like your "search and scan banner timeout" settings have been changed to 0 seconds?

Press the services button then choose 4 (system setup), 1 (picture settings) then "search and scan banner timeout". What is the figure to the right?

If it is 0 then change it to 5 or 10 seconds then select save at the bottom of the menu. If it is already 5 or 10 then that's not the problem. If so then all I can think you could try is to force a software update.

yea thanks your method worked it was set to 0 seconds so i changed it back to 10 seconds.
