Ok so i have sky set up in my living room and would wonder what i would need to do to set it/move it up in my bedroom. Its an upstairs downstairs house and i can tell that it would fit so whats the deal do i need to have a new phone plug installed in my room etc ? Will this affect my broadband ? (im not wanting to run an extenshin from one room to another) any help suggestions on this matter would be appreciated

Re: Moving Box Help
To move your Sky TV box, would mean that some cables would have to be relaid as well.
If you have a standard box, this would have one cable from the dish, Sky+ or Sky+ HD would have two from the dish.
If you do move the Sky TV box to the bedroom, theoretically it shouldn't affect your Broadband afaik.
Hope that helps.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: Moving Box Help
Theoretically yes!
You don't say how long you have had the box. If over 12 months I don't think that you would be required to have that box in the telephone socket.
Either way, it should still not affect the Broadband side of things. That doesn't come down the satellite cable / dish. (Just in case you thought it did)~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: Moving Box Help
Your broadband comes down the telephone line, not via the dish. Its just that when you get Sky fitted as a new customer, normally you have to have the box connected to the phone line for ordering Movies etc.
If you don't want it downstairs, and are confident to move the cables, then just don't plug the Sky TV box back into the phone upstairs.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~
